I know you are exhausted, I know you are stressed, I know you are drowning in expectations and I know people looking in sometimes only see that. I also know you are excited, you cannot wait to see your families open their gifts and that you are so filled with love and joy. The holidays are hard and there is a lot of judgement on what you got your kids or what you did not. There is judgement in your exhaustion and comments about how you should ask for help or lower your expectations. Expectations are high. We want everyone to be happy and to love everything. I want you to know I see you, I am proud of you even if you did not get to everything and I hope you get to nap! Mom you are a superhero and you are rocking those expectations.
